Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Agriculture and Livestock Hussein Al-Qatrani inaugurated the Libya International Exhibition for Agricultural and Livestock Development and its Requirements at the Tripoli International Fair.
The exhibition, sponsored by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), features participation from a number of companies, agricultural associations, and centers concerned with agriculture, livestock, and standards and specifications.
The exhibition, which includes exhibitors from Arab and foreign countries, aims to showcase the capabilities of the agricultural and livestock development industry in Libya and to present leading local models in the agricultural and livestock sectors.
Additionally, workshops are being held on the sidelines of the exhibition to improve performance levels in the fields of agriculture, livestock, aquatic basins, and the national reference system for land cover classification in Libya. There are also dialogue sessions on FAO’s vision for food security in Libya.
The opening ceremony of the exhibition was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock for Office Affairs and Agricultural Reclamation, Mohammed Al-Turki, the Executive Director of the General Authority for Exhibitions, Abu Bakr Qanuna, the Chairman of the Authority’s Board, Issam Al-Awl, and the General Manager of the Tripoli International Fair, Islam Jaafar, along with ambassadors of several countries.
